Info

When your organization used Single Sign On (SSO) you don’t need a password to login, but you will be logged in automatically. If this is the case you can skip this article.

Forgot password functionality

When you have forgotten your password, use the forgot password functionality after two failed attempts to prevent lockout.

Note

After entering the wrong password three times your account will be blocked for security reasons. You can request new password, but this will not unlock your account. If your account is blocked please contact your system administrator.

Forgot password button

You can request a new password by pressing the ‘Forgot password’ button on the login screen.

Changing your password via your user profile

When a password change is mandatory or you would just like to update your password for security reasons, you can easily change your password via your user profile:

  1. Press 'Change username/ password' to change your password.

Note: when allowed by your organization, this is also the place where you can change your username.

Mandatory password change

Mandatory password changes can be configured by the system admin. There are three options:

  1. None: password change not mandatory. You can keep using the password you received

  1. Once: you need to create a new password upon your first login

periodically
  1. Periodically: a new password needs to be set the first time you login after your password has expired.

These options are complemented by the setting ‘days’ that determines how long a password is valid.

Special characters

Minimal number of special characters. Examples are: !@#$%

Non alphabetic characters

Minimal number of non alphabetic characters. Examples are: 123!@#

Password history limit

This number is the number of recent passwords from which the new password must differ. For example, if the limit is 3, the new password must be different than the most recent 3 passwords.

If your new password does meet the requirements, an error will be shown.

In the example below the new password did not contain the required 2 special characters.
