Een clientomgeving bevindt zich samen met andere clients op een servercluster. Om erachter te komen op welk cluster je client staat, kun je kijken naar de gegevens op het inlogscherm (kijk op: How to login voor meer details).

Binnen deze clusters zijn clientomgevingen toegankelijk via verschillende servers.

Clusters
A client's environment is located on a cluster together with other clients (except clients with a dedicated cluster). After logging in, add ‘__serverinfo__' to the URL behind '/axxerion/’ and hit enter to see on what cluster the environment is located.

To access the backup or test server of a client, you will need to know the cluster. More on the backup and test servers, see the next chapter.
Servers
On a cluster, the clients environment can be accessed via several servers.

Houd er rekening mee dat bij het testen op de Backup- of Testomgeving, alle wijzigingen die worden gemaakt handmatig naar productie moeten worden gekopieerd. Aangezien Productie elke nacht naar de Back-up wordt gekopieerd, worden langdurige tests uitgevoerd op de Testomgeving om te voorkomen dat uw wijzigingen worden overschreven.
Rapportservers en conversie-engines
De Report servers en Converter engines hebben veel rekenkracht en zijn verantwoordelijk voor het uitvoeren van de rapportoproepen die in Workplace worden gedaan. Er zijn subtiele verschillen tussen een Report server en Converter engine die bepalen in welke situatie welke wordt gebruikt.
De Report servers en Converter engines zijn voor gezamenlijk gebruik voor alle Workplace servers. Wanneer een Workplace server een bestand wil converteren, wordt er een verzoek naar de beschikbare Report server/Converter engine gestuurd, die het verzoek afhandelt en vervolgens terugstuurt naar de Workplace server.
Documentenservers
Workplace kan worden gebruikt als een Document Management Systeem (DMS). De documenten die hier worden geüpload, worden niet opgeslagen op het cluster maar op de documentserver. De documentserver, of File server, is gewoon een grote harde schijf.

Keep in mind when testing in either the backup or testing environment, all changes that are made should be manually copied to production. Since production gets copied to the backup every night, long-term testing is performed on the test environment to prevent your changes from getting overwritten.
The test environment gets overwritten with the production data about one to two weeks before the next release (to be able to test with up-to-date production data). Keep this in mind when planning or doing longer-term work on the test environment. There are also no guarantees on how often the test environment gets overwritten with the most recent production data.
