Milesight CO2 Sensor gathers data for Humidity + CO2 + Temperature.

Prerequisite: Gateway

Milesight sensors connect over the LoRa network. Make sure you install your LoRa hub before installing the sensors (check out LoRa Gateways, Hubs installation guides voor meer informatie for more information).

Sensor configuration

All sensor settings can be configured via a smartphone application with NFC (Near Field Communication)

Zorg ervoor dat je een mobiele telefoon gebruikt die NFC ondersteunt en volg onderstaande stappen:

  1. Verwijder het achterpaneel van de sensor met een kleine schroevendraaier.

Houd het achterpaneel en de sensor bij elkaar, omdat de sensor ID op het achterpaneel staat!

  1. Plaats de batterijen die bij het apparaat zijn geleverd.

    1. Draai de richting van de batterijen niet om bij het installeren.

Note

Het apparaat kan alleen worden gevoed door ER14505 Li-SOCl2 batterijen (geen alkaline batterijen). Het gebruik van andere batterijen dan de meegeleverde kan leiden tot verminderde prestaties en een kortere levensduur van de batterij, en kan het apparaat beschadigen. Gooi ze op de juiste manier weg en neem daarbij de milieubeschermingsregels in acht.

  1. Houd de aan/uit-knop (op de achterkant van het apparaat) langer dan 3 seconden ingedrukt om het apparaat aan te zetten.

Note

Druk niet langer dan 10 seconden of het apparaat wordt gereset.

  1. Download en installeer de Milesight ToolBox-app van Google Play of Apple App Store.

  2. Schakel NFC in op de smartphone en start de Milesight ToolBox app.

Houd de smartphone met NFC-zone* tegen de Milesight CO2-sensor om de apparaatinformatie uit te lezen. Basisinformatie en instellingen van het apparaat worden getoond op de ToolBox App als het succesvol is herkend

Make sure to use a NFC supported mobile phone and follow below steps:

  1. Remove the back panel of the sensor with a small screwdriver.

Keep the back panel and the sensor together, since the sensor ID is indicated on the back panel!

  1. Install the batteries that come with the device.

    1. Do not reverse the direction of batteries when installing.

Note

The device can only be powered by ER14505 Li-SOCl2 batteries (not alkaline batteries). Using batteries other than the ones provided may result in loss of performance and battery life, and also damage to the device. Dispose of properly, observing environmental protection rules.

  1. Press and hold the power button (on the back of the device) for more than 3 seconds to power up

Note

Don’t press longer than 10 seconds or the device will reset.

  1. Download and install “Milesight ToolBox” App from Google Play or Apple App Store.

  2. Enable NFC on the smartphone and launch Milesight ToolBox app.

  1. Hold the smartphone with NFC area* to the Milesight CO2 sensor to read the device information. Basic information and settings of the device will be shown on ToolBox App if it’s recognized successfully.

Je kunt het apparaat lezen en configureren door op het apparaat Lezen/Schrijven op de app te tikkenYou can read and configure the device by tapping the Read/Write device on the App.

  1. Zorg voor de juiste plaats van het NFC-gebied* van de smartphone ten opzichte van het apparaat.

  2. Het is aan te raden om het telefoonhoesje te verwijderen voor optimaal NFC-gebruik.

  3. Als de smartphone configuraties niet kan lezen/schrijven via NFC, verwijder dan de telefoon en probeer het opnieuw.

* Het NFC-gebied van uw smartphone kan zich op een andere plaats bevinden, afhankelijk van het merk en model van uw telefoon. Controleer de specificaties van uw telefoon om er zeker van te zijn dat u in het juiste gebied op de Milesight CO2-sensor tikt.

Kalibratie

Ga naar Instellingen (kop) > Kalibratie-instellingen om de CO2-waarde te kalibreren.

Voer deze handelingen uit in de frisse lucht, want de kalibratie moet buiten gebeuren.

  1. Zorg ervoor dat de waarde Automatische achtergrondkalibratie is ingeschakeld.

  2. Selecteer handmatige kalibratie

  3. Bevestig het pop-upvenster waarin u wordt gevraagd de kalibratie te starten

  4. De app vraagt je om het apparaat opnieuw te scannen

  5. Houd de smartphone met NFC-zone tegen de Milesight CO2-sensor om de handmatige kalibratie te starten.

  6. Als het gelukt is, krijg je een bericht

  7. Zodra de app bevestigt dat handmatige kalibratie klaar is, plaats het apparaat dan buiten voor minimaal 20 minuten.

Configuratie toepassen op andere Milesight CO2-apparaten

Info

Op het startscherm van de app staat het apparaat-ID van het apparaat waarmee je bent begonnen, maar met de app kun je ook op andere apparaten kalibreren!

Als je meerdere apparaten tegelijk configureert, kun je de kalibratiestappen gewoon herhalen met alle apparaten, zolang ze daarna allemaal buiten worden gezet.

  1. Als je één kalibratie hebt gedaan, ga je naar "Sjabloon" > "Opslaan als nieuwe sjabloon".

  2. De sjabloon opslaan

  3. Selecteer de sjabloon

  4. Selecteer "Schrijven" om de kalibratie via deze sjabloon op andere Milesight CO2-apparaten te herhalen.

Volgende stappen

Nu alle apparaten zijn gekalibreerd, kunnen ze worden geïnstalleerd volgens de instructies op Milesight CO2 Sensor Installation.

Zoek op

  1. Ensure the correct placement location of smartphone NFC area* compared to the device.

  2. It’s recommended to take off the phone case for optimal NFC use.

  3. If the smartphone fails to read/write configurations via NFC, remove the phone and try again.

* Smartphone NFC area might be in a different location depending on phone brand and model. Check your phone specifications to make sure you’re tapping the correct area to the Milesight CO2 sensor.

Calibration

Go to Settings (header) > Calibration settings to calibrate the CO2 value.

Take these actions in fresh air, because the calibration needs to happen outside.

  1. Make sure Auto Background Calibration value is turned on.

  2. Select Manual Calibration

  3. Confirm the pop-up asking to start calibration

  4. The app will prompt you to scan the device again

  5. Hold the smartphone with NFC area to the Milesight CO2 sensor to start manual calibration

  6. Once successful, you will get a message

  7. As soon as the app confirms manual calibration ready, place the device outdoors for minimum 20 minutes

Make sure to select “Manual Calibration” (otherwise calibration might take more than a week)

Apply configuration on other Milesight CO2 devices

Info

On the start screen of the app, it will indicate the device ID of the device you started with, but the app allows you to start calibration on other devices too!

If you are configuring multiple devices at the same time, you can just repeat the calibration steps with all the devices, as long as all of them are placed outdoors afterward.

  1. Once you have done one calibration go to “Template” > “Save as new template”

  2. Save the template

  3. Select the template

  4. Select “Write” to repeat the calibration through this template on other Milesight CO2 devices

Keep in mind that there will be a variance in the value per sensor to sensor of up to +/-30% (industrial standard)
