The Plenom Status light is gives a visual cue to the end user, for example on reservations, occupancy, or CO2 levels.

It's a device small enough to be installed at workplaces, and can also be used as a cheaper alternative for room displays (just showing if reserved at this time or not).

The light can be used for visually representing the status of a parameter (e.g. reservation, temperature, comfort) for a location. The light can be added to Workplace back-end Studio as a new device like all other sensor devices (see below)

Because this light behaves like a read-only touch-point and does not capture any data, only adding the device and linking it to a location in the Workplace Platform is not enough. The light has to be configured with a so called brain rule, so that the color can be steered by Workplace.

Brain rule

The steering happens via a Brain rule, which can be requested with your Spacewell Account Manager.

A sample brain rule will be of the format: "If a workplace on floor X is occupied, then set light color to red. If the workplace is not occupied, color should be green".

There is only 1 scenario/brain rule per light possible.

Following scenarios are possible. The colors are standard as mentioned here:

  • occupancy yes/no

  • reservation

    • green = no reservation

    • green blinking = no reservation, but occupied

    • red = reservation

    • orange = reservation, but not occupied

  • comfort data (eg CO2 levels "excellent/fair/bad" as configured for that location in Workplace back-end Studio > Settings > Plan)

Prerequisites

Make sure to discuss the following before installation:

  • Brain rules in scope, see Brain rules repository

    • There is only 1 scenario/brain rule per light possible

    • There can be multiple brain rules set up for your environment, for example reservations, occupancy or CO2 level (but the setup of each brain rule comes with a cost)

    • If multiple brain rules are set up: make sure the end-user understands what is being conveyed per status light (eg "workplaces = X, meeting rooms = Y")

  • Installation location (on tables, walls etc)?

    • Make sure a USB or power socket is available per light

Prerequisites on site:

  • Clean tables (rooms should be clean after refurbishment)

  • Working electricity

Prerequisite: Gateway

Make sure you install your LoRa hub before installing the sensors (check out LoRa Gateways / Hubs installation guides for more information).

  1. Depending on the installation location:

    1. plug the USB cable in the power adapter to plug in a power socket,

    2. or leave the USB cable to plug this into a USB splitter or other device (eg Workplace QBIC displays have USB plugs at the back).

  2. Use the double side tape as adhesive to tape the light stuck to the table or wall where it should be used.

Configuration

If you want to request multiple scenarios for your environment (for example the status lights at the workplaces should visualize the reservation status, but the lights in the meeting rooms should serve as a CO2 level indicator; or per floor or specific locations), it's best to take an export of the devices in your environment and fill in the information in the excel in order to deliver a structured instruction to the Workplace Development team that will implement your request

De Plenom Statuslampje geeft een visuele aanwijzing aan de eindgebruiker, bijvoorbeeld over reserveringen, bezetting of CO2-niveaus.

Het is een apparaat dat klein genoeg is om op werkplekken te installeren en het kan ook worden gebruikt als een goedkoper alternatief voor kamerschermen (alleen laten zien of het op dit moment gereserveerd is of niet).

Het licht kan worden gebruikt om de status van een parameter (bijv. reservering, temperatuur, comfort) voor een locatie visueel weer te geven. Het licht kan worden toegevoegd aan Workplace back-end Studio als een nieuw apparaat, net als alle andere sensorapparaten (zie hieronder).

Omdat dit licht zich gedraagt als een alleen-lezen touchpoint en geen gegevens vastlegt, is alleen het toevoegen van het apparaat en het koppelen aan een locatie in het Workplace Platform niet voldoende. Het licht moet worden geconfigureerd met een zogenaamde brain rule, zodat de kleur kan worden gestuurd door Workplace.

Breinregel

De besturing gebeurt via een Breinregeldie u kunt aanvragen bij uw Spacewell Account Manager.

Een voorbeeld van een breinregel heeft het formaat: "Als een werkplek op verdieping X bezet is, stel dan de lichtkleur in op rood. Als de werkplek niet bezet is, moet de kleur groen zijn".

Er is maar 1 scenario/breinregel per licht mogelijk.

De volgende scenario's zijn mogelijk. De kleuren zijn standaard zoals hier vermeld:

  • bezetting ja/nee

  • reservering

    • groen = geen reservering

    • groen knipperend = geen reservering, maar bezet

    • rood = reservering

    • oranje = reservering, maar niet bezet

  • comfortgegevens (bijv. CO2-niveaus "uitstekend/matig/slecht" zoals geconfigureerd voor die locatie in Workplace back-end Studio > Instellingen > Plan)

Vereisten

Zorg ervoor dat u vóór de installatie het volgende bespreekt:

  • Breinregels in toepassingsgebied, zie Brain rules repository

    • Er is maar 1 scenario/breinregel per licht mogelijk

    • Er kunnen meerdere breinregels worden ingesteld voor je omgeving, bijvoorbeeld reserveringen, bezettingsgraad of CO2-niveau (maar het instellen van elke breinregel brengt kosten met zich mee)

    • Als er meerdere breinregels zijn ingesteld: zorg ervoor dat de eindgebruiker begrijpt wat er wordt overgebracht per statuslampje (bijv. "werkplekken = X, vergaderruimten = Y")

  • Installatieplaats (op tafels, muren, enz.)?

    • Zorg ervoor dat er per lamp een USB- of stopcontact beschikbaar is

Vereisten ter plaatse:

  • Schone tafels (kamers moeten schoon zijn na renovatie)

  • Werkende elektriciteit

Vereiste: Gateway

Zorg ervoor dat u uw LoRa hub installeert voordat u de sensoren installeert (kijk op LoRa Gateways / Hubs installation guides voor meer informatie).

Installatie van de sensor

  1. Afhankelijk van de installatielocatie:

    1. Steek de USB-kabel in de voedingsadapter om deze in een stopcontact te steken,

    2. of laat de USB-kabel zitten om deze aan te sluiten op een USB-splitter of ander apparaat (Workplace QBIC displays hebben bijvoorbeeld USB-stekkers aan de achterkant).

  2. Gebruik de dubbelzijdige tape als kleefmiddel om het lampje vast te plakken op de tafel of muur waar het gebruikt moet worden.

Configuratie

Als je meerdere scenario's voor je omgeving wilt aanvragen (bijvoorbeeld de statuslampjes op de werkplekken moeten de reserveringsstatus visualiseren, maar de lampjes in de vergaderruimtes moeten dienen als CO2-niveau-indicator; of per verdieping of specifieke locaties), kun je het beste een export maken van de apparaten in je omgeving en de informatie in excel invullen, zodat je een gestructureerde instructie kunt geven aan het Workplace Development-team dat je aanvraag zal implementeren.

Add New Device

Nieuw apparaat toevoegen in Workplace back-end Studio

  1. Go to your tenant Ga naar uw huurder (https://studio.cobundu.com ) and en log in

  2. Select the location, where you can manually add a sensor via "Add New Device"

Quality Assurance

Next step is the Quality Assurance to make sure that the whole installation and configuration of your status lights was a success.

Status lights take the sensor values from the sensor that is linked to the same location, so to do Quality Assurance on the sensor installation, please see the chapter on Quality Assurance for the relevant sensor.

To do Quality Assurance on the configured Brain rules repository for the Status light, you'll need to be on site to check if the shown the colors of the light are correct based on the detected values.

You need to make sure that the brain rule gets activated correctly, bearing in mind that reservations are loaded every 5min: if for the test the location is reserved from

Kwaliteit

De volgende stap is de Quality Assurance om er zeker van te zijn dat de hele installatie en configuratie van je statuslichten een succes was.

Statuslampjes nemen de sensorwaarden over van de sensor die gekoppeld is aan dezelfde locatie. Om een kwaliteitscontrole uit te voeren op de sensorinstallatie, raadpleeg je het hoofdstuk Kwaliteitscontrole voor de relevante sensor.

Kwaliteitscontrole uitvoeren op de geconfigureerde Brain rules repository voor het statuslicht moet je ter plaatse zijn om te controleren of de getoonde kleuren van het licht correct zijn op basis van de gedetecteerde waarden.

Je moet ervoor zorgen dat de breinregel geactiveerd correct, rekening houdend met het feit dat reserveringen elke 5 minuten worden geladen: als voor de test de locatie is gereserveerd van 11:00-11:30 at om 11:25, then the brain rule has no time to get activated.

We suggest to book the location at least 5min before reservation start, where reservation duration is more than 30minutes. This way the brain rule has the time to be triggered. Depending on the selected brain rule, following result should be visible

  • Reservation Brain Rule

    • green = no reservation

    • green blinking = no reservation, but occupied

    • red = reservation

    • orange = reservation, but not occupied

  • Comfort data Brain Rule (eg CO2 levels "excellent/fair/bad" as configured for that location in Studio > Settings > Plan)

Searchdan heeft de breinregel geen tijd om geactiveerd te worden.

We raden aan om de locatie ten minste 5 minuten voor het begin van de reservering te reserveren, als de reserveringsduur meer dan 30 minuten is. Op deze manier heeft de breinregel de tijd om geactiveerd te worden. Afhankelijk van de geselecteerde breinregel zou het volgende resultaat zichtbaar moeten zijn
