Wat is Kerlink iFemtocell Evolution?

Kerlink is a een LoRa gateway that can be used for any Spacewell LoRa device to connect to the waarmee elk Spacewell LoRa-apparaat verbinding kan maken met het Workplace Platform.

Hardware

- en netwerkvereisten

Kerlink iFemtocell Evolution can connect to your network through ethernet or over 4G.

If you’re working with 4G, you’ll need to foresee a SIM card for this device: it depends on how many sensors will connect to the gateway, but overall / on average we assume 250MB of monthly data transfer, so we suggest to take a SIM card for 1GB.

If you’re connecting the gateway to your network using ethernet cable:

Als je met 4G werkt, moet je een SIM-kaart voorzien voor dit toestel: het hangt af van hoeveel sensoren je met de gateway zal verbinden, maar globaal / gemiddeld gaan we uit van 250MB maandelijkse gegevensoverdracht, dus raden we aan om een SIM-kaart te nemen voor 1GB.

Als je de gateway op je netwerk aansluit met een ethernetkabel:

• Open poorten 80, 123, 443, 1700 in the firewall. These ports only need an outbound connection.On the network, the devices must have HTTPS de firewall. Deze poorten hebben alleen een uitgaande verbinding nodig.

• Op het netwerk moeten de apparaten HTTPS- & MQTT/TLS access via different ports. Please find below the current “List of IP addresses for outgoing traffic” to know which ports to open. A Dynamic IP is required-toegang hebben via verschillende poorten. Hieronder vindt u de huidige "Lijst met IP-adressen voor uitgaand verkeer" om te weten welke poorten u moet openen.

• Een dynamisch IP is vereist.

Hub

Prerequisites

Requirements to the computer that you will use for the configuration:

• physical network input for ethernet cable (on mac we suggest to use an adapter)

• securities can be setup in so many different ways, it’s not possible to describe system requirements… The customer company should either provide a laptop that can connect to the outside world and/or whitelist the kerlink page.

• make sure your computer is connecting to the same network as the device

• place the sim card in the device. You will hear the sim click into place / inserted ("tick") sound.

Activation Steps

1. Make sure you're connected to the device with an ethernet cable.

Vereisten

Vereisten voor de computer die je gaat gebruiken voor de configuratie:

• fysieke netwerkingang voor ethernetkabel (op mac raden we aan een adapter te gebruiken)

• effecten kunnen op zoveel verschillende manieren worden ingesteld, dat het niet mogelijk is om de systeemvereisten te beschrijven... Het bedrijf van de klant moet een laptop leveren die verbinding kan maken met de buitenwereld en/of de kerlink-pagina whitelisten.

• zorg ervoor dat de computer verbinding maakt met hetzelfde netwerk als het apparaat

• Plaats de simkaart in het apparaat. Je hoort de sim op zijn plaats klikken/geplaatst worden ("tik").

Activeringsstappen

1. Zorg ervoor dat je met een ethernetkabel op het apparaat bent aangesloten.

2. Afhankelijk van het gateway-model moet je een andere URL bezoeken (XXXXXX = laatste 6 cijfers van EUI op de achterkant van de gateway). Voor Kerlink iFemtocell Evolution, bezoek http://klk-fevo-XXXXXX/ 

Get your login from the Spacewell hardware manager. Haal uw login op bij de Spacewell-hardwaremanager.

3. In order to set up 4G, select "Administration" in the left hand menuOm 4G in te stellen, selecteert u "Administratie" in het linkermenu:

• Enable mobile network

• Enter PIN code

• Add Operator detailsMobiel netwerk inschakelen

• PIN-code invoeren

• Operatorgegevens toevoegen

4. Look up Zoek MCC/MNC and APN values - en APN-waarden op in 4G SIM Cards

5. Make sure to SAVE your cell phone config changesZorg ervoor dat u de wijzigingen in de configuratie van uw mobiele telefoon opslaat.

6. Reboot the gateway and unplug the network cable for the configuration changes to take effectStart de gateway opnieuw op en koppel de netwerkkabel los zodat de configuratiewijzigingen van kracht worden.

7. The Spacewell Implementation Consultant can check on De Spacewell implementatieconsultant kan het volgende controleren /wiki/spaces/KB/pages/492072 that the dat de gateway online is online (EUI in format 7076FF0064xxxxxx can be found on the sticker at the back of the device).

Hub Installation

• If on 4G, connect the hub with the power cord to a plug

• If using the ethernet functionality, make sure the ethernet cable is connecting to the network on which the required ports are opened (see above). On the device itself, there is only 1 ethernet port available on the hub, so it's easy to place the Ethernet cable.

Connection check

In order to check the connection of the hub on on het formaat 7076FF0064xxxxxx staat op de sticker aan de achterkant van het apparaat).

Installatie naaf

• Indien op 4G, sluit de hub met het netsnoer aan op een stekker

• Als je de ethernetfunctionaliteit gebruikt, zorg er dan voor dat de ethernetkabel is aangesloten op het netwerk waarop de vereiste poorten zijn geopend (zie hierboven). Op het apparaat zelf is slechts 1 ethernetpoort beschikbaar op de hub, dus het is gemakkelijk om de ethernetkabel te plaatsen.

Verbindingscontrole

Om de verbinding van de hub te controleren op op /wiki/spaces/KB/pages/492072, please communicate the Geef de EUI (format 7076FF006404027E), that can be found on the sticker at the back of the device, to your Spacewell consultant.

If your connection was successful:

• the LEDs on the device will be

  • 1st LED will be solid green = power status = connected to power

  • 2nd LED = can be ignored

  • 3rd LED = blinking green = LORA activity/connected (sending packages to LORA) (blinking will be higher in frequency once sensors installed)

    → To see if a hub is live ON the device, is only possible if all sensors are installed (operational mode), because then the 3rd blinking LED will be blinking more continuously

• the indicator on the TTN platform will be solid BLUE which means that the gateway is connected to the LoRaWAN network and is ready to handle packets (Spacewell Workplace SPOC is able to check this based on the Board ID)

Troubleshooting SIM cards: 4G SIM Cards

Searchformaat 7076FF0064027E), die te vinden is op de sticker aan de achterkant van het apparaat, door aan uw Spacewell-adviseur.

Als je verbinding succesvol was:

• de LED's op het apparaat zullen

  • 1e LED brandt continu groen = voedingsstatus = aangesloten op voeding

  • 2e LED = kan worden genegeerd

  • 3e LED = knippert groen = LORA-activiteit/verbonden (verstuurt pakketten naar LORA) (knippert vaker zodra sensoren zijn geïnstalleerd)

    → Om te zien of een hub onder spanning staat op het apparaat, is het alleen mogelijk als alle sensoren zijn geïnstalleerd (operationele modus), omdat de 3e knipperende led dan continuer knippert.

• de indicator op het TTN-platform is continu BLAUW wat betekent dat de gateway is verbonden met het LoRaWAN-netwerk en klaar is om pakketten te verwerken (Spacewell Workplace SPOC kan dit controleren op basis van de Board ID)
