Tabs Mini Hub is a LoRa gateway that can be used for any Spacewell LoRa device to connect to the Workplace Platformist ein LoRa-Gateway, das für jedes Spacewell LoRa-Gerät verwendet werden kann, um sich mit der Workplace-Plattform zu verbinden.

We sync all our hubs to the same open NTP (network time protocol) servers so we have consistent timings in our data warehouse.

Je nach Hauptstandort der Umgebung werden Spacewell Workplace-Mandanten in einer EU- oder US-Umgebung erstellt. Daher kann die Zieladresse für einige zu öffnende Ports eine andere sein:

When using 4G

If you work with a 4G router (hotspot), no ports need to be opened on the network, as they will be open on the router. This way, you can set up a system that is completely disconnected from the existing IT infrastructure.

How to Activate the Hub

Betriebsmodi

1. Konfigurationsmodus (CONF)

   1. In this mode, the device acts as a WiFi AP to which users can connect and configure a WiFi
      network(s) to which the gateway will connect to during normal operation. The device cannot
      route LoRaWAN packets in this mode.

2. Gateway Mode (GW)

   1. In this mode, the device acts as a gateway to route traffic between the LoRaWAN Device
      and the Network. The WiFi AP for configuration is not available in this mode.

Button Actions

There are three possible button actions on the the Tabs Mini Hub

1. SETUP Button pressed for 10s:

   1. Switch to CONF mode if in GW mode.

2. SETUP Button pressed for 5s:

   1. Reboot if in CONF mode, do nothing in GW mode

3. RESET Button pressed for 5s:

   1. Factory reset (wipe out WiFi and LNS credentials, though CUPS credentials are retained).

Troubleshooting

1. Are you sure the correct ports were opened on the network?

2. Check the LED lights

3. Make sure there are not typos in the hub board ID (ask customer to take a picture of the sticker at the back of the device)

4. Check if the hub is connected to the correct network (on the switch)

5. Check if there is network connectivity on the patch in the switch (aka: connect the cable of the patch to your pc)

6. Replace a non-working hub with one that is confirmed working

   1. If the non-working one is connected to the patch of the working one and this works: there is an issue with the patch/switch

   2. If the working one is connected to the patch of the non-working one and this works: there is an issue with the hub

Hub provisioning

1. 1. diesem Modus fungiert das Gerät als WiFi-AP, mit dem die Benutzer eine Verbindung herstellen und ein WiFi

      und das Netzwerk. Der WiFi AP für die Konfiguration ist in diesem Modus nicht verfügbar.

Tasten-Aktionen

Auf dem Tabs Mini Hub gibt es drei mögliche Schaltflächenaktionen

1. SETUP-Taste 10s lang gedrückt:

   1. Wechseln Sie in den CONF-Modus, wenn Sie sich im GW-Modus befinden.

2. SETUP Taste 5s lang gedrückt:

   1. Neustart im CONF-Modus, nichts tun im GW-Modus

3. RESET-Taste 5s lang gedrückt:

   1. Zurücksetzen auf die Werkseinstellungen (WiFi- und LNS-Anmeldedaten werden gelöscht, CUPS-Anmeldedaten bleiben jedoch erhalten).

Fehlersuche

1. Sind Sie sicher, dass die richtigen Ports im Netzwerk geöffnet wurden?

2. Prüfen Sie die LED-Leuchten

3. Vergewissern Sie sich, dass es keine Tippfehler in der Hubboard-ID gibt (bitten Sie den Kunden, ein Foto des Aufklebers auf der Rückseite des Geräts zu machen)

4. Prüfen Sie, ob der Hub mit dem richtigen Netzwerk verbunden ist (am Switch)

5. Prüfen Sie, ob der Patch im Switch mit dem Netzwerk verbunden ist (aka: verbinden Sie das Kabel des Patches mit Ihrem PC)

6. Ersetzen Sie eine nicht funktionierende Nabe durch eine, deren Funktionstüchtigkeit bestätigt ist.

   1. Wenn der nicht funktionierende Schalter mit dem Patch des funktionierenden Schalters verbunden ist und dies funktioniert: Es gibt ein Problem mit dem Patch/Schalter

   2. Wenn die funktionierende Nabe mit dem Patch der nicht funktionierenden Nabe verbunden ist und dies funktioniert: Es gibt ein Problem mit dem Hub
