Where are hyperlinks used for and where to find them?

Hyperlinks can be found on a lot of different places in the environment to make it easier to navigate between pages and information. Hyperlinks are used in order to quickly go to a specific page in the environment. For example:

• To go from your startboard startBoard to a request that you need to solve.

• Going from your history to a recently visited page.

• Opening the contact of the owner on a property page to find the contact details.

There are quite a few places where yopu you will find hyperlinksThe hyperlinks. The most common places are:

title On the startboardstartBoard, reports are a lot of the time used in order to see what the person needs to do. In these reports hyperlinks are used to go to the specific page.

title As a user you can also make use of the history, favorites and bin function in the top right of your startboard. These functions also make use of hyperlinks in order to go quickly to a specific page where you’ve last been on.

title Hyperlinks can also be found in search pages to go to a specific object.

Linking an object in an objectId field

When on an objectpage , you have the opportunity to link other objects through specific objectId fields. ObjectId fields are used to connect two objects to eachothereach other. Both of the objects already exist in the system, but here only the link between the two objects is created.

For example:

• Linking an organization to a person.

• Linking a contact to a contract.

• Linking a property and area to a request.

If you want to link two objects to each other, then these fields can be used. ObjectId fields can be recognized by the following icon next to the field:

In this example, a page of the contact “Jane Doe” is shown. In the organization field on the page an organization can be filled in that is already exists in the environment. When you type the organization name in the field itself, a dropdown will be shown for all the hits that can be filled in:

The other way to find the specific organization is to press on the three dots to search for the organization. In this case, first a filter page will show up where you can type in specific key words in order to find the specific organization. When you don’t fill anything in, a list of all organizations will show up. The following steps are necessary to search for your specific object:

• Press the three dots next to the field to open the filter page.

  In the filter page, type in your key searching words to find your specific organization or just press search button without filling anything in to get the entire list of

• results that are possible to connect in the field.

• The entire list of results is shown. Select your specific organization that you want to link.

• Press on the OK button to save your option and link it in the field on the original page.



Using the magnifying glass to move to another object

When an objectIdfield is filled in with an object, a magnifying glass will be shown. This magnifying glass can be used to quickly switch to the specific object page that is filled in in that field.



When you want find information about the organization that is filled in, in this case “Spacewell NL”, you can use the magnifying glass to quickly switch to that specific object. You will grab the page of this object to find all the information of this organization.

An objectId field can be used in order to link two objects to eachothereach other. When an object is linked it can be used in order to go to this specific object page by clicking on the magnifying glass.

Exercise

•  Create an new person a Person and link an alrady already existing organization to this person using the “organization” field.
•  Now press the magnifying glass behind the organization to open it and view the organization details.
