Configure the Kiosk App through Device Control to run on a Qbic meeting room display
This manual is applicable for the following meeting room devices
QBIC - TD-1070
QBIC - TD-1060
QBIC - TD-1050
Step 1 - Take your device and your PC

Select the Device(s) you would like to configure
Click Configure
Toggle the button to “On” to change the device name, take for example the name of the meeting room you will link this to
You’ll need both a Qbic device + a PC
Both devices should be on the same network
You should see the screen below on your Qbic device (the Content URL is empty at first):

ℹ️ To get your Qbic device ready and connected, consult the Hardware installation (Qbic)

Note: Only relevant if you are still running a Kiosk App that is not linked to Device Control.

Exit the app
Find the app on the device
Uninstall the app
Tap 10x on the logo
Enter the device password
Select ‘Exit’
For Qbic, select ‘Settings'
go to ' Advanced settings’
Select ' apps'
Select the ' kiosk' app
Select ‘uninstall’
Step 2 - Find the Qbic device through your PC

Go to the Qbic Devices Tab on the Device Control platform
Enter an IP range (based on the IP shown on the Qbic Settings Tile in Step 1)
Press scan and wait for your device to show up

The Qbic devices must be on the same network as the computer you’re trying to scan them from in this step. To check if your Qbic device is reachable you can ping it via Command line. |
Create a device account (i.e. the device account that will be used to log into the Kiosk application) in Users & Groups
Ideally, you’ve already configured a Profile and a Theme, see Customizing the Room Display

You will have to provide the device account that has been configured in Users & Groups Note |
Toggle “Content” On, Choose “App” and then select the Option: Remote Upgrade XML* in combination with Spacewell Kiosk (the URL will be set automatically by Device Control). Optional: Schedule a Daily Reboot or On/Off Times and choose if you want you want a keypad volume when users type on the keyboard Get the latest firmware: Go to this page and copy the URL of the Qbic device you’re configuring from the bottom of that page and enter it in the Firmware XML field Press save to push the configuration to the device(s). You will see a status report and any potential errors here. Wait a few seconds. Your QBIC device(s) will show a link in the “content field“ and start a countdown to launch the app. If you see no Content link, then you must manually select the “kiosk app” from the dropdown list button next to the Content field.

If this is the first time you use the device account, the app will launch and give an error. Don’t panic, this is completely normal You’ll need your laptop for the next few steps. |

Go to https://devicecontrol.cobundu.com/ and log in with an admin account. You should see you new device in the list with a label “not configured” on the right. |

When you select the device, a panel will appear from the bottom. Click on Start configuration. |

Select ROOM DISPLAY in the pop-up window that appears |

Select the Room you want to see values for, a Profile and a Theme using the drop down menus. These settings will be pushed to the Kiosk app after you pressed SAVE. You can customize this later at any point. |
