Property
There are currently more than 500 objects available in Workplace; examples are Property, Area, and Asset.
Each unique appearance of an object is called an instance. Whenever we create a new instance of an object in Workplace, the reference will be automatically generated and is a unique identifier of the object. For Properties, this could look like: Building and areas
A Property can be built up from multiple floors and different areas, which we will look at later.

Area module explainedTo search for an area, click “Areas” under the Properties header in your menu.  You will see a screen in which you can filter the areas. There are different options for finding an area. If you leave everything empty, it will show all the areas available. For example, if you filter on “Property“Building,” you will only find areas that belong to that propertybuilding. only , and the Note: access right are not taken into account with this search, so when click ‘Search’ you might find less properties. The “Search” button will reveal the results of the search job.
 To see more details of an area, double- click on the area number. You will see different tabs and options you can fill in regarding the area. For example, you can make an area available for reservation. Image Removed. Create a new propertybuildingIn the property building module, you can create a new propertybuilding. Image RemovedBy clicking Click on ‘Properties’ in the building module; Click on the “Create new property” button, you will open a new screen building” button; Select the category in which the building should be created.
Image AddedClick ‘OK’; A new screen will open where you can create a new property building and enter the details. It is also possible to add a sub- property building to an (existing) property building by using the “Create new property” building” button at the bottom of the screen below the “Subproperties” header. Note: The building category you choose determines the fields, tabs, and functions that are available. A typical hierarchy would be to have a site with multiple properties as child building. The category Geographical area can, for example, be used as a parent for properties/ sites within the same city or country.

Create a new areaWithin a propertybuilding, you can create (additional) areas that belong to the property building you have open. To do that, open a property and select : Open a building Select the tab “Areas.” You will find the option “Create new area” above the list of areas.

At the same moment you create a building, a main area (for example: the PRP-00001 in the screenshot) is created. Every other area of this building will be a “child”of this main area. Do not change this main area, as it might corrupt your area date! |

Image ModifiedGood to knowChange parent areas. After creating an area, it is still possible to change the parent of an area. Open your area card and select a different option in the “Parent” field. Press “>” at the end of the “Parent” field. Press the … (three dots) Search for your area and select it.
Hierarchy. You can create different types of areas on a building to build your hierarchy. All area categories (see screenshot). A logical hierarchy would be: Building → Floor → Area → Workplace or Meeting room Active ‘no’. If an area has the status “Yes” the column “Active”, that means you can find them by using the default search functionality. If the status is “No”, you only can find them by using “Advanced search”, as advanced search also queries closed objects.
