How to access
Login with your credentials
Select Settings > Plan in the Studio 1.0 interface
Change colors of live floorplan (global or local)
Modify the colors and icons on your Live Floorplan (GO Live Floorplan view and in Workplace App) on a global level or override information on regional or site level (The global comfort values also influence the colors in the gauges in the Comfort Monitor dashboard):

Comfort (Temp/Hum/CO2/…) view
colors for general comfort settings
values and colors per kind of measurement (eg cold/medium/warm for Temperature)
Utilization view
colors for utilization settings (based on Studio Capacity settings, see Setting the capacity & thresholds of spaces): save - danger - breach (will be shown as quiet - crowded - overcrowded on Live Floorplan)
Next to the colors, define the transparency. Best practice is value “0.7”

Occupancy settings
Per (room) category you can define
An icon shown on live floorplan when occupancy is detected (will be shown in the geometric center of the polygon)
Decay is a fading out time after which time the icon starts fading out when no occupancy has been detected
Default decay is set to 15min
Best practice:
longer at work places, for example 1h or more (employees can "keep their place" while they're out for lunch, standing at a colleagues' desk, in a meeting)
shorter for meeting rooms, concentration spaces, and other resources that are high in demand and where it's better to have a high turnaround
Icon decay should be dependent on sensor communication with Workplace platform, for example
decay needs to be minimum 15 min for PIR sensors (Motion sensor gives more insight into how this sensor works),
but can be as low as 2 minutes for Pointgrab sensors (see Pointgrab)
Social Distancing / disabled feature
In order to use the Disabled Feature, set the Reservable Room to "out of use".
The "disabled" feature was introduced in 2020 as a part of the Social Distance Index (related to covid-19):
it makes (former) Reservable Rooms unavailable for reservation -> mainly used for every other desk in an open office space (keeping social distance = people not sitting at EVERY desk = most often this turns into a checker pattern in the sitting plan)
the color of these locations turns to grey to visually indicate to the end-user (on Workplace app and Kiosk app) where they should NOT sit (so that the checkered pattern is also visually available to them)
to oversee the respect of social distancing: if occupancy is measured in these places, the icon set in Occupancy Settings will show up -> Facility Managers or people on site responsible for maintaining Social Distancing can immediately take action if Social Distancing is not respected.
Comfort Settings
Imagine you have a comfort sensor, but you want the data of this one sensor to turn up on multiple locations on the Workplace Live Floorplan and Comfort Dashboard.
In below example, 4 comfort sensors were installed. We wanted to visualize the data of each of the sensors on 14-16 workplaces that were situated near the sensors.
To visualize comfort sensor data in multiple locations, you will need to work with Linked Locations:
Attach the sensor to 1 room in Sensor Devices
Indicate in fields (also possible in batch import) "Linked Locations" for which other locations this value should turn up in the data visualizations (Live Floorplan + Comfort Dashboard)
In Sensor Devices, there is no restriction on linked locations, so that it would ONLY work for comfort data and not for other dimensions. It is the admin's responsibility to create a valid configuration.
Following restrictions are in place:
The main location needs to be a Room object, and the Linked Locations can be Room or Workplace objects (starting from Room: same level or child level). In other words: a channel could be installed on a room and have linked locations (rooms or workplaces) or could be installed on a workplace but without linked locations. So "workplace" and "linked locations" are mutually exclusive fields (columns in the import sheet).
If you want to copy your comfort values on different workplaces/have them show up on multiple workplace polygons:
Main location: room
Linked locations: workplace + workplace + workplace + workplace
Only channels with pir and headcount dimensions are taken into account if they are installed on a workplace ("workplace" column in the grid used to calculate utilization based on pir and headcount sensors installed on workplaces). It means that comfort channels linked to workplaces populate data only for the workplaces but not for their parent room.
Logic behind visualization
Average temperature value for room X if 2 comfort sensors are linked to that room = (10 °C +20 °C) / 2 = 15 °C and this is how it will be exposed in the timeslots.

The functionality will be the same as described in (Basic) Scenario 2, which means there are some attention points here:
→ Average temperature value for room X = (10 °C +20 °C) / 2 = 15 °C and this is how it should be exposed in the timeslots
→ Whereas, based on the above configuration, in Comfort Monitor it seems that average value for room X = (10 + 20 +20 +20 +20 +20 +20 +20 +20 +20 +20 +20) /12 =19.16°C
One suggestion would be to actually set it up like in the below table, where the Linked locations that are closest to a sensor are taking over the values of that sensor:
