Learning Objectives

After reading this article, you’ll be able to:

  • Reset your password.

When your organization used Single Sign On (SSO) you don’t need a password to login, but you will be logged in automatically. If this is the case you can skip this article.

Forgot password functionality

If you forgot your password, you can use the 'Forgot password' functionality to reset your password.

After entering the wrong password three times your account will be blocked for security reasons. You can request new password, but this will not unlock your account. If your account is blocked please contact your system administrator.

You can request a new password by pressing the ‘Forgot password’ button on the login screen.

  1. In the screen that now appears (1st screenshot) a password reset can be requested.

  2. After pressing the ‘Submit’ button, the next screen appears (2nd screenshot).

  3. On this screen you need to enter the verification token you received via email and the new password (fill in twice).

Changing your password via your user profile

When a password change is mandatory or you would just like to update your password for security reasons, you can easily change your password via your personal settings:

  1. Click on the ‘My settings’ button on your startBoard;

  2. Click 'Change username/ password' to change your password.

Note: when allowed by your organization, this is also the place where you can change your username. Best practise however, is that the username cannot be changed.

If your new password does meet the requirements, an error will be shown.

In the example below the new password did not contain the required 2 special characters.
