Categories are used to differentiate different ‘types’ of an object. For instance, the area object has the following default categories available:

  • Floor

  • Meeting room

  • Workplace

  • parking

The use of categories for objects has multiple purposes:

  • Reporting

  • Integrations

  • Different page

  • Use of a template

  • Different (workflow)

  • Different authorizations

Processes (e.g. requests, reservations) are also created in a specific category, but by default, each object only has a single category. Master data (Buildings, Areas, Assets, Contacts) have multiple default categories…
