After reading this article you will be able to:

  • Understand the power and limitations of “Correct mode”

  • Turn correct mode on and off.

What is correct mode and when do we use it?

Correct mode is a powerful tool in Workplace that is available for users with system admin rights. It allows the user to edit (most) fields that are normally not editable when Workplace is in its regular mode. Correct mode can for example be used:

  • To change fields that where set as read-only by the workflow;

  • Make non-editable fields editable;

  • Allow for the removal of an instance that a user is not allowed to delete because linked objects are in place.

Correct mode is not available for all pages. You won’t find correct mode on for example the startBoard or certain baseline pages.

Enabling/ disabling correct mode

  • To enable correct mode: on a page > navigate to the gear symbol > Correct mode

  • Don’t forget to disable correct mode after your done! Follow the same steps as describe above to disable correct mode.

The correct mode cannot be enabled on every page. If you for example want to use correct mode on a Tab, you will need need to enable correct mode whilst your on the main page of the instance.
