Security & Notifications
We recommend setting up the security feature for your Qbic devices to prevent unintended changes of settings either on the device or remotely.
When enabled, you will only be able to change any device settings through the device control platform.
To do this, Click on the Settings button and set up Email notifications for Offline Devices, then toggle Qbic security ON.
You will then receive this type of mail each time a device goes offline:
Device Account Management
When enabled, Kiosks autonomously set a random, auto-generated device account password on expiry.
It prevents apps from going offline when the Workplace platform mandates changing the device password.
•Maximum password age
•“Must change password”
•“Force all users to change password”
It also prevents manual intervention needed to push new device password each time on expiry.
How to reconfigure a device
Any tenant administrator can login in Device Control and reconfigure a device – no need to know the specific device account credentials.
Consult current device credentials on the reconfigure screen. Login with device account is still supported.
Recover your credentials or change password on the Kiosk
Prerequisites
1 user per Display is needed (this user will be "reservation responsible" if no end-user identification is required)
