Work with test emails in backup/test servers
What is email testing
The setting to turn on email testing is used in backup/test environments to verify emails that are send out in workflows or using functions. In Using this way functionality we can verify templates and check parameters. The reason we have this setting is because emails are not sent out in testing/backup servers by default and can therefor therefore not be checked or analysed.
In the production environment on the contrary, emails are always sent out to the relevant contacts , which then makes it hard to test templates because they are sent out immediately and in the live datawhich is not what you want when testing a new/ altered template.

How to use email testing?
After filling in all the mandatory settings, all emails will be send out to the

The email
that you receive contains [AXXERION-TESTMAIL] in the title indicating that
it concerns a test mail.
If you want to test a (workflow) email, simply follow the process, same as you would on production. For example, create, submit, and approve a reservation. All emails send from this workflow will now end up in your mailbox.
