Elsys comfort sensors check for Humidity + CO2 + Temperature.

For sensor installation (comfort), we advise using double sided tape.

At Spacewell, we always use double sided tape from brand Tesa Powerbond Ultra Strong (5m * 19mm) for the motion sensors. This tape is strong and works for all the different types of sensors.

We estimate that you use 3-5cm per sensor. So, you can probably hang roughly 100 sensors per roll.

Best practice:

  • Tape: Press the tape in the crook of the sensor to ensure good adhesion / bigger surface area

Inserting the batteries

If 1 sensor (or just a few) is purchased, the batteries are IN the sensor; they can be activated by pulling the tab.

Only from more/bigger quantities the sensors are packed separately in a plastic tray (2 batteries are needed per sensor). 1 tray = +/- 75 batteries

 

1. Remove the back panel of the sensor with a small screwdriver.

3. Mount the back panel on the wall using some of the six mounting holes. It may : there are 6 points where you can set a screw, mount using at least 2 screws. Alternatively, it can also be mounted using adhesive tape.

All sensor settings can be configured via a smartphone application with NFC (Near Field Communication)

NFC Configuration (optional) (Android phone with Elsys app needed!!)

  1. Download ELSYS “Sensor Settings” application from Google Play and install it on a smartphone or tablet. The device must support NFC.
  2. Enable NFC on the device and start the application.
  3. Place your device on top of the NFC antenna on the sensor.
  4. Remove the device. Current settings will be displayed in the application.
  5. Use the application to change settings
    1. Change the Timebase from 300 to 900 Sec
    2. Change the Motion configuration from PIR:Count to Off
    3. Change the AppEUI under Sensor keys from 0 to 70b3d57ed002286a
    4. ONLY FOR USA: Change the Frequency plan under Version 2 features from "3 EU868" to "4 US915"
  6. Quickly tap the device on top of the NFC antenna to give the new settings to the sensor. Make sure that the application confirms your new settings.
  7. Wait for the sensor to reboot (5 sec), indicated by the LED flashing. Sensor settings have been updated.
