    Leerdoelen

    Na het lezen van dit artikel zul je in staat zijn om:

    • Eerste configuratie uitvoeren op QBIC Android kiosken

    • Installeer de Kiosk App om te draaien op QBIC Android kiosken

    Na installatie van de Kiosk-hardware volgens Kiosk Hardware Installationstart het apparaat automatisch nadat het op een voeding is aangesloten.

    De Kiosk voor de eerste keer opstarten

    Stap 1: Het apparaat van stroom voorzien

    Het apparaat wordt automatisch opgestart nadat het op een voeding is aangesloten.

    Het apparaat heeft geen vaste batterij; daarom is het belangrijk om een stabiele stroomvoorziening te hebben.

    Stap 2: Maak verbinding met het netwerk

    • Verbinding maken met een bekabeld netwerk gebeurt automatisch bij het aansluiten van de (POE) Ethernetkabel.

      • Zorg ervoor dat Ethernet is ingeschakeld in je POE-schakelaar.

      • Specifieke configuraties zoals subnetmasker, vast IP enz. kunnen ook worden geconfigureerd via het beginscherm van het apparaat.

    • De draadloos netwerk kan worden geconfigureerd via het beginscherm van de app:

    Als je apparaat vast lijkt te zitten in het opstartproces, moet je het apparaat resetten: aan de achterkant zit een gaatje met de tekst "reset". Zet het apparaat aan en druk gedurende 10 seconden een paperclip in het resetgaatje (je moet een klik voelen wanneer je op de resetknop drukt).

    Stap 3: Controleer firmwareversie

    Zorg ervoor dat de laatste versie van de vereiste firmware is geïnstalleerd.

    After installing the Kiosk Hardware according to Kiosk Hardware Installation, the device will launch automatically after connecting it to a power supply.

    Booting the Kiosk for the first time

    Step 1: Power the device

    The device will launch automatically after connecting it to a power supply.

    The device does not have a fixed battery; therefore, it is important to maintain a stable power supply.

    Step 2: Connect to the network

    • Connecting to a wired network happens automatically when plugging in the (POE) Ethernet cable.

      • Make sure Ethernet is enabled in your POE switch.

      • Specific configuration such as subnet mask, fixed IP etc. can also be configured via the device's home screen.

    • The wireless network can be configured via the app's home screen:

    In case your device seems to be stuck in the booting process, you will need to reset the device: there is a hole labelled "reset" at the back. Power on the device and push a paperclip for 10 seconds in the reset hole (you should feel a click when pushing the reset button).

    Step 3: Check firmware version

    Make sure the latest version required firmware version is installed.

    • At least version v1.0.18 must be installed.

    • The version can be checked on the home screen (see screenshot below):

    • Upgrades of the firmware can be managed via remote Device Control for Kiosk App

    Deze substap is alleen nodig als:

    • De firmwareversie is lager dan v18 - waarmee alle geleverde apparaten voorgeïnstalleerd zouden moeten zijn. 

    • U gebruikt de console voor apparaatbeheer op afstand niet.

    Optie 1

    • Ga naar "Instellingen" > "Firmware-update" > "URL voor upgrade van firmware op afstand".

    • Maak een MCS Helpdesk-ticket aan om de nieuwste URL voor upgrades op afstand te ontvangen.

    • Klik op instellen

      • Het updateproces start op de achtergrond en kan enkele minuten duren voordat de eerste veranderingen zichtbaar zijn.

    Download de nieuwste firmware van de ondersteuningspagina

    This sub-step is only required when:

    • The firmware version is below v18 – which all delivered devices should come preinstalled with. 

    • You are not using the remote device management console.

    Option 1

    • Go to "Settings" > "Firmware update" > "Remote firmware upgrade URL"

    • Create a MCS Helpdesk ticket to receive the latest remote upgrade URL.

    • Click set

      • The update process starts in the background and can take several minutes before first changes can be observed.

    Stap 4: Installeer de app met Spacewell Device Control

    Je hebt nu met succes de Qbic Kiosk geïnstalleerd. 

    Om het apparaat verder te configureren en de Room Display-app te installeren, volg je de onderstaande instructies om de Kiosk-app te installeren.

    De Kiosk-app installeren

    Je hebt een apparaataccount en een adminaccount om in te loggen en de Kiosk-app te installeren.

    Houd je computer of tablet bij de hand, want je hebt toegang nodig tot

    Step 4: Define Landscape or Portrait mode

    In Settings > Display > HDMI, select “System Direction”. It looks like a title, but you can click it to open a pop-up that will let you choose between 0, 90, 180 or 270 degrees.

    In a sense, it let’s you choose between using the screen in landscape or portrait mode.

    Once you install the Kiosk app in the next step, it will switch automatically to the relevant Landscape or Portrait mode based on the screen rotation.

    Step 5: Install the app using Spacewell Device Control

    You have now successfully installed the Qbic Kiosk. 

    In order to further configure the device and install the Room Display app, follow the below instructions to Install the Kiosk app.

    Install the Kiosk app

    You’ll need a device account and an admin account in order to log in and install the Kiosk app.

    Keep your computer or tablet close, since you’ll need access to https://devicecontrol.cobundu.com/ om de app-instellingen (op afstand) te configureren.

    Navigatiebalk verbergen in volledig scherm

    Als je de Kiosk-app hebt gedownload, kun je de navigatiebalk verbergen als je de Kiosk-app in volledig scherm gebruikt.

    Zodra de navi

    Ga terug naar het apparaat om het vastmaken van het scherm in te schakelen:

    1. Ga naar Instellingen > Spelerinstellingen > Scherm > Volledig scherm > draaien op

    (optioneel) Scherm vastmaken inschakelen

    Nadat je de instelling "Verberg navigatiebalk in schermvullende modus" hebt ingeschakeld, zou je de app niet meer moeten kunnen verlaten.

    Als je nog steeds uit de app kunt gaan, of als de schermvullende modus niet beschikbaar is op je apparaat, kun je Screen Pinning inschakelen.

    De app wordt vastgezet tot de volgende reboot (na de reboot: je moet opnieuw vastzetten), dus gebruik deze functie alleen als er geen reboot gepland staat.

    Ga terug naar het apparaat om het vastmaken van het scherm in te schakelen:

  • Ga naar Instellingen > Geavanceerde instellingen > Beveiliging > Schermpinning > draaien op

    • Open de Kiosk-app > openen recente apps (rechthoekpictogram op Navigatie met 3 knoppen)> Klik op de Kiosk app Pictogram > Selecteer deze app vastmaken

    Problemen oplossen

    Hide Navigation Bar in Fullscreen Mode

    Once you’ve downloaded the Kiosk app, you can hide the navigation bar when using the Kiosk app in fullscreen mode.

    Once the navi

    Go back to the device to enable screen pinning:

    1. ‪Go to Settings > Player Settings > Screen > Fullscreen > turn on

    (optional) Enable Screen Pinning

    After enabling the “Hide Navigation Bar in Fullscreen Mode” setting, you should not be able to leave the app.

    If you are still able to go out of the app, or fullscreen mode is not available on your device, you can enable Screen Pinning.

    The app will be pinned until the next reboot (after reboot: you’ll have to pin again), so only use this feature if there is no reboot scheduled

    Go back to the device to enable screen pinning:

    1. ‪Go to Settings > Advanced Settings > Security > Screen pinning > turn on

    2. Open the Kiosk app > open recent apps (rectangle icon on 3-Button Navigation)> Click on the Kiosk app Icon > Select pin this app

    Troubleshooting

    titleIs it possible to turn Kiosk App 90° to see it in portrait/vertical mode?

    For Android, Kiosk App in kiosk mode is available in landscape and portrait mode. Change the system direction of your device as per the instructions in https://spacewell.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KB/pages/edit-v2/360022017#Step-4%3A-Define-Landscape-or-Portrait-mode

    For IOS and Windows, Kiosk App is alleen beschikbaar in liggende/horizontale modusin kiosk mode is only available in landscape / horizontal mode.
