Het is mogelijk om handmatig nieuwe apparaten toe te voegen of om veel apparaten in batch te importeren. Beide methoden worden hier beschreven.

Nieuw apparaat toevoegen

U kunt een nieuw Apparaat toevoegen door

  • de locatie in menu-item Ruimteswaar u handmatig een sensor kunt toevoegen via "Nieuw apparaat toevoegen".. De locatie wordt ingevuld.

  • "Nieuw apparaat toevoegen". knop in menuoptie Apparaten

It’s possible the add new devices manually or through batch import of many devices. Both methods are described here.

Add New Device

You can add a new Device by selecting

  • the location in menu item Spaces, where you can manually add a sensor via "Add New Device". The location will be filled in.

  • "Add New Device" button in menu item Devices

Enter Device ID as serial-number with all capitals and including the dashes (format is dependent on device type, see Install & Configure Gateways & Sensors ).

Alleen van toepassing op Comfortsensoren: Naast de al geselecteerde (hoofd)kamer of werkplek, kun je binnenkomende comfortgegevens visualiseren op andere, Gelinkte locaties. Stel je voor dat je 1 comfortsensor hebt in een open kantoorruimte en je wilt deze gegevens visualiseren op alle 8 werkplekken in die ruimte: Een gekoppelde locatie moet alle 8 werkplekken bevatten. (Meer informatie over gekoppelde locaties: Live floorplan settings)

Door het juiste apparaattype te selecteren, bijvoorbeeld "Elsys ERS CO2", worden de sensortypes en kanalen automatisch ingesteld op "Temperatuur, vochtigheid en CO2" (zie Geavanceerd).

Importeren/exporteren

De beste manier om apparaten in batches te importeren is om te werken met een export die je vervolgens gebruikt als basis om te importeren

Exporteer alle apparaten die zijn gekoppeld aan de omgeving ("Geavanceerd exporteren" bevat informatie over Type en Kanaal).

Gebruik Exporteren als basis voor Importeren: Configuratie

GeavanceerdHet is mogelijk om sensortypes/kanalen te verwijderen of toe te voegen (bijvoorbeeld pointgrab in headcount en/of footfall modus of voor External Data Sources )

Controleer of de Device ID correct is.

  • Een sensor kan meer informatie geven dan nodig is. Controleer de Install & Configure Gateways & Sensors pagina's om te weten op welk formaat de sensor ID moet lijken.

  • Een sensor-ID heeft mogelijk een andere indeling dan vereist in Studio. Controleer de Install & Configure Gateways & Sensors pagina's om te weten hoe u de sensor ID kunt wijzigen.

  • Controleer op typefouten, bijvoorbeeld Tabs bewegingssensor ID is in HEX, dus alleen 0-9; A-F tekens worden gebruikt. Alle letters zijn in CAPS.

Locatiemapping: in de Workplace back-end heeft elke locatie een unieke locatie-ID.

Select a Location from the location tree if this is already known (field automatically filled in if location was selected before adding new device).

Only applicable for Comfort sensors: Next to the already selected (main) Room or Workplace, you can visualize incoming comfort data on other, Linked Locations. Imagine having 1 comfort sensor in an open office space and you want to visualize this data on all 8 workplaces in that space: Linked Location needs to contain all 8 workplaces. (More information on Linked Locations: Live floorplan settings)

Selecting the correct Device Type, for example "Elsys ERS CO2" should automatically set the Sensor Types and Channels to "Temperature, Humidity and CO2" (see Advanced).

Import/Export

‪Best practice for batch import of devices is to work with an export that you then use as a basis to import

Export devices based on the filters used: the export will list all devices that appear in the overview

  • “Advanced Export” will include information on Type and Channel

  • any export taken in “Devices” menu point without any filters, will also include Disabled devices

Use Export as basis for Import: Configuration

Advanced: possible to remove or add sensor type/channels (for example pointgrab in headcount and/or footfall mode or for External Data Sources )

Check for the correct Device ID.

  • A sensor might list more information than needed. Check the Install & Configure Gateways & Sensors pages to know which format the sensor ID should resemble.

  • A Sensor ID might have a different format than what is required in Studio. Check the Install & Configure Gateways & Sensors pages to know how to modify the sensor ID.

  • Verify for typos, eg Tabs motion sensor ID is in HEX, so only 0-9; A-F characters are used. All letters are in CAPS.

Location mapping: in the Workplace back-end, each location has a unique location ID.

Als u een apparaat wilt toewijzen aan een Kamer of parkeerplaats locatie, vul dan het veld Locatie-ID in het Excel-bestand Importeren in.

Als u een apparaat wilt toewijzen aan een Werkplaats locatie, zorg ervoor dat deze is ingebed onder een (virtuele) ruimte:

  • Vul Kamer-ID in in het veld Locatie-ID in het Excel-bestand Importeren.

  • Werkplek-ID invullen in het veld Werkplek-ID in het Excel-bestand importeren.

Gebruik het veld ID van gekoppelde locatie als sensorgegevens (comfort of verkeer) moeten worden gekopieerd naar die gekoppelde locatie(s).

Batchimport via Excel-bestand

Bij batch ImporterenAlleen succesvolle rijen worden geïmporteerd. "Afgewezen wegens fouten" worden niet geïmporteerd

Bij het importeren van apparaten via excel is het mogelijk dat er niet meteen een verbinding tot stand wordt gebracht. Het is mogelijk dat je enige tijd moet wachten voordat alle apparaten verbinding maken met het Workplace Platform ("online apparaat").

Apparaat verwijderen/uitschakelen

verwijderen apparaten is niet mogelijk via de UI in Studio, maar het is wel mogelijk om uitschakelen ze. Door ze uit te schakelen worden ze verwijderd uit het (standaard) overzicht Apparaten, maar ze zijn nog steeds gekoppeld aan je omgeving.

Hoe schakel je een apparaat uit?

  • Uitschakelen is handmatig mogelijk met de knop "Uitschakelen" op het apparaatlabel (zie Sensor Management).

  • Uitschakelen is mogelijk via de export/import, waar je een kolom vindt met de naam "deleted at", die de sensor daadwerkelijk uitschakelt in Studio. Vul vóór het uploaden/importeren tekst in het betreffende veld in.

Welk gedrag kan verwacht worden van een uitgeschakeld apparaat?

Een uitgeschakeld apparaat

  • geen gegevens meer volgt: Het uitschakelen van een apparaat schakelt ook de kanalen/typen voor die sensor uit.

  • is niet langer zichtbaar in Studio Spaces

  • wordt niet langer weergegeven in het (standaard) overzicht Apparaten

    • is alleen zichtbaar in Apparaatoverzicht wanneer u "Gezondheid > Uitgeschakeld" selecteert.

  • krijgt een aparte status "Uitgeschakeld", wat betekent dat het niet langer wordt meegeteld in de Apparaatgezondheid KPI (zie in How to monitor Sensor Health)

    • Dit betekent ook dat de apparaatgezondheidsmeldingen niet worden weergegeven (alleen apparaten in de status "Te controleren" en "Offline").

  • staat nog steeds in de export Apparaten (kolom "verwijderd op" toont datum + tijd waarop het apparaat werd uitgeschakeld)

  • kan worden "opgeëist" door een andere huurder/omgeving

Wat gebeurt er als je een apparaat weer inschakelt?

Zorg ervoor dat u een apparaat uitschakelt voordat u hetzelfde apparaat weer probeert toe te voegen.

Het uitschakelen van een apparaat schakelt ook de kanalen/types voor die sensor uit.

Als je een apparaat inschakelt, worden ook alle kanalen/types voor die sensor ingeschakeld, alsof het een nieuwe set-up is.

Apparaat verplaatsen

In zeldzame gevallen kan het nodig zijn om apparaten op Studio van de ene naar de andere omgeving te verplaatsen. Om deze bewerking uit te voeren, moet het onderstaande proces worden gevolgd:

  1. Log in in Studio voor de eerste huurder, waar het apparaat nu is geregistreerd.

  2. Schakel het apparaat uit via het scherm Apparaatdetails.

  3. Afmelden bij Studio.

  4. Meld u aan in Studio voor de doeltenant waar het apparaat moet worden toegevoegd.

  5. Voeg het apparaat toe via de standaardprocedure "Apparaat toevoegen".

Info

Als een gebruiker een apparaat probeert te registreren in de doeltenant zonder het eerst te deactiveren in de brontenant, wordt er een foutbericht weergegeven.

Hoe weet ik welk kanaal of type ik moet configureren voor mijn sensor?

If you want to map a device to a Room or Parking location, just fill in the Location ID field in the Import excel file.

If you want to map a device to a Workplace location, make sure this is embedded under a (virtual) room:

  • fill in Room ID in Location ID field in the Import excel file.

  • fill in Workplace ID in Workplace ID field in the Import excel file.

Use Linked Location ID field if (comfort or traffic) sensor data needs to be copied to those Linked Location(s).

Batch Import through excel file

Upon batch Import: only successful rows are imported. “Rejected due to errors” will not be imported

‪Upon import of Devices through excel, a connection might not be established right away. ‪It’s possible you need to wait some time before all devices connect to the Workplace Platform (“online device”).‪

Delete/Disable Device

‪Deleting devices is not possible through UI in Studio, it is however possible to disable them. Disabling will remove them from the (default) Devices overview, but they are still associated with your environment.

How to disable a device?

  • Disabling is possible manually through the “Disable” button on the Device Label (see Sensor Management).

  • Disabling is possible through the export/import, where you’ll find a column named “deleted at”, which will actually disable the sensor in Studio. Fill in any text in the relevant field before upload/import..

What behavior can be expected from a disabled device?

A disabled device

  • is no longer tracking data: Disabling a device also disables the channels/types for that sensor

  • is no longer visible in Studio Spaces

  • is no longer listed in the (default) Devices overview

    • is only visible in Device Overview when selecting “Health > Disabled”

  • gets a separate “Disabled” status, meaning it’s no longer counted in the Device Health KPI (see in How to monitor Sensor Health)

    • this also means it’s not listed the Device Health Notifications (only listing devices in “To Check” and “Offline” state)

  • is still listed in the Devices export (column named “deleted at” will show date+time of when the device was disabled)

  • can be “claimed” by another tenant/environment

What happens when you enable a device again?

Make sure to disable a device before you try and add the same device again

Disabling a device also disables the channels/types for that sensor.

Enabling a device will also enable all the channels/types for that sensor, as if it was a new set-up.

Move Device

In rare cases, it might be needed to move devices from one environment to another on Studio. To perform this operation, the below process should be followed:

  1. Login into Studio for the first tenant, where the device is registered right now.

  2. Disable the device from the device details screen.

  3. Logout from Studio.

  4. Login into Studio for the target tenant, where the device needs to be added.

  5. Add the device using the standard "Add device" procedure.

If a user tries to register a device on a the target tenant without first deactivating it from the source tenant, an error message will be displayed.
