What is a checklist?

A checklist is a list of all the things you need to do, information that you want to find out, or things you need to take somewhere, which you make to ensure that you do not forget anything. For example you can have a checklist for a maintenance run for a property or an asset like an elevator.

  1. Open the property, area, or asset.

  2. Go to checklists by clicking on the ‘Checklist' tab. This tab might be sorted behind the “Related objects” tab. See screenshot.

  3. Generate a new checklist using the “Available checklist templates” button. This shows the checklist templates that are available for this property/ area/ asset.

  4. Select the checklist you want to generate

  5. Click ‘Create checklist workorder’

  6. The checklist is opened and is also added to the the ‘Generated checklist’ tab

Checklists part of a property/ area/ asset

  1. Open the property, area, or asset.

  2. Go to checklists by clicking on the ‘Checklist' tab. This tab might be sorted behind the “Related objects” tab. See screenshot.

  3. Open the checklist by clicking on the checklist in the “Generated checklist” list.

  4. To fill in the checklist you have the following options.

    1. Use the button “Fill out checklist”; the first question is automatically opened > fill in the answer > go to the next question. This option is incredibly user-friendly for tablet or phone users.

    2. Via the include (bottom part of the screen )  ‘Questions' . In the include an overview of all questions is shown. Navigate through the questions using the Tab on the keyboard and directly answer the questions via the include. Click the ‘save symbol on the top right to save your answers or click on 'Save and return’.

Checklist part of a work order

If you are assigned with a work order to for example to clean an area, it is possible that a checklist is part of the work order.

  1. Open your work order through your task list on the startBoard

  2. Navigate to the “Checklist” tab

  3. Open the checklist to fill it in.
