Login log

The Login log report can be found as a button on the startBoard for System admins.

This will give the option to search all logins (and attempts) into the system, including via which IP address a user logged in. This also includes log outs.

This report is used to check logins within a time span. Via the filter, this time span can be set via the logged in from and until fields. It is also possible to specifically search for certain login statuses (e.g. Login, wrong password, logout, timeout, etc).

In the results, the following columns are available:

  • Logged in: The date and time the user has logged in.

  • User: who tried to login/logged in.

  • IP: from which IP address was the login attempted.

  • Status: shows the current status of the login attempt.

    • Login: user is currently logged in.

    • Logout: user logged out using the logout button.

    • Wrong password: wrong password was entered by the user.

    • Timeout: session timed out (timeout time is a client setting).

      • Note: when a user closes the application by closing the browser tab (instead of using a logout button) the session status initially remains ‘Login’. After the timeout time has elapsed, the status of this login attempt changes to ‘timeout’.

  • Switched via: indicates whether the user itself logged in (column is empty), or a system administrator switched to this user.
