When troubleshooting modules in Workplace some issues originate from the workflow supporting process. When workflows are stuck or throw an error when trying to move to another status, it is very useful to know how to stop and start a workflow to find out what is causing this. Sometimes that might even solve the issue. More on workflow basics in Workflow basics.
How to stop a workflow
In this example we will use a request in the training environment.
To get to the workflow, navigate to the instance page of the request.
On the instance page there might already be a stop icon. See screenshot.
If there is no stop button, navigate to the tab: workflow, and click the stop icon there.
The system will ask: Are you sure? Click: Yes.

Bij het oplossen van problemen met modules in Workplace komen sommige problemen voort uit het proces dat de workflow ondersteunt. Wanneer workflows vastlopen of een foutmelding geven wanneer ze naar een andere status proberen te gaan, is het erg handig om te weten hoe je een workflow kunt stoppen en starten om uit te zoeken wat de oorzaak is. Soms kan dat zelfs het probleem oplossen. Meer over de basis van workflows in Workflow basics.
Een workflow stoppen
In dit voorbeeld gebruiken we een verzoek in de trainingsomgeving.
Om bij de workflow te komen, navigeer je naar de instantiepagina van het verzoek.
Op de instantiepagina kan al een stoppictogram staan. Zie schermafbeelding.
Als er geen stopknop is, navigeer dan naar het tabblad: workflow en klik daar op het stoppictogram.
Het systeem vraagt: Weet u het zeker? Klik: Ja.
Hierdoor wordt de workflow gestopt. Als de workflow is gestopt, zijn er geen actieve taken meer, zoals te zien is in de afbeelding hieronder:

Workflow-status wijzigen
Now that the Nu de workflow is stoppedgestopt, we can change the workflow status. We can do this to force the workflow to move through the statuses again, or to re-evaluate the request.
Go into correct mode (Read aboutkunnen we de status van de workflow wijzigen. We kunnen dit doen om de workflow te dwingen de statussen opnieuw te doorlopen, of om het verzoek opnieuw te evalueren.

Change the status in the drop down menu on the request instance page.

Think on what other fields might need to be reset when changing the workflow status. For example, a reservation was confirmed and approved by the Servicedesk, and now you want to change the status back to Draft. In this case you will also need to empty the approveDate. Similarly, an work order needs to be re-opened when you are changing the status of a closed work order. |
How to start the workflow
To start the workflow, simply click the start button in the top right corner.

If the tasks (on the workflow tab) do not seem to refresh. Click the refresh button on the tasks include, this will refresh the page and show all the active tasks in this workflow again. |

Bedenk welke andere velden gereset moeten worden bij het wijzigen van de workflowstatus. Bijvoorbeeld, een reservering is bevestigd en goedgekeurd door de Servicedesk, en nu wilt u de status terugzetten naar Concept. In dit geval moet u ook de approveDate leegmaken. Op dezelfde manier moet een werkorder opnieuw worden geopend als u de status van een gesloten werkorder wijzigt. |
De workflow starten
Om de workflow te starten, klik je gewoon op de startknop in de rechterbovenhoek.

Als de taken (op het tabblad workflow) niet lijken te verversen. Klik op de knop Vernieuwen op de taken, hierdoor wordt de pagina vernieuwd en worden alle actieve taken in deze workflow opnieuw weergegeven. |
