Install VergeSense sensor
After successful VergeSense gateway installation, you can now start sensor installation.
Place and set up up to 50 VergeSense VS-L302 sensor devices clustered around the gateway. The sensors will automatically set up a mesh network to connect to the gateway and each other.
From VergeSense Experience, it’s possible to install 45 magnet sensors per 8h (incl setup and cleanup), assuming all locations are available, seeLeerdoelen

VergeSense-sensor installeren
Na succesvolle VergeSense gateway installationU kunt nu beginnen met de installatie van de sensor.
Plaats en installeer tot 50 VergeSense VS-L302 sensorapparaten gegroepeerd rond de gateway. De sensoren zetten automatisch een mesh-netwerk op om verbinding te maken met de gateway en met elkaar.
Volgens VergeSense Experience is het mogelijk om 45 magneetsensoren per 8 uur te installeren (incl. instellen en schoonmaken), ervan uitgaande dat alle locaties beschikbaar zijn, zie Checklist hardware on-site visit /or installation

Preparation
As soon as the gateway connectivity has been confirmed, activate the sensors by pulling the plastic strip.
On the top of the device, an LED inside of the sensor will show all the colors from the rainbow and then turn off.
Please the sensors face up (as in the above picture) as close to the gateway as possible, to make sure an initial connection can be established. Placing the sensor face up allows confirmation that the sensors work.
Configuration on VergeSense Platform
As soon as the sensors are activated, link them to the relevant areas in the VergeSense platform as described in the VergeSense configuration guide.

Activation
Power the sensor by removing the purple battery tab.
The sensor will automatically power on.
When first booting up, the sensor will cycle - Red, Green, Blue (0.5s each color) 3 times
The light will flash green once every 15s for 5min confirming connectivity.

Voorbereiding

Bovenop het apparaat laat een LED in de sensor alle kleuren van de regenboog zien en gaat dan uit.
Plaats de sensoren met de voorkant naar boven (zoals in de bovenstaande afbeelding) zo dicht mogelijk bij de gateway, zodat een eerste verbinding tot stand kan worden gebracht. Door de sensor met de voorkant naar boven te plaatsen, kunt u bevestigen dat de sensoren werken.
Configuratie op VergeSense-platform
Zodra de sensoren zijn geactiveerd, koppelt u ze aan de relevante gebieden in het VergeSense-platform zoals beschreven in de VergeSense configuration gids.

Activering
Zet de sensor aan door het paarse batterijlipje te verwijderen.
De sensor wordt automatisch ingeschakeld.
Wanneer de sensor voor het eerst opstart, zal deze 3 keer rood, groen en blauw (0,5s per kleur) weergeven.
Het lampje knippert elke 15 seconden groen gedurende 5 minuten om de connectiviteit te bevestigen.

Installation direction

Installatierichting
De kijkrichting van de sensor op de /wiki/spaces/KB/pages/492301 should be respected. On the inside of the sensor bottom plate (which is installed facing the ceiling), an arrow is embossed as to show the sensor viewing direction moet worden gerespecteerd.
Aan de binnenkant van de bodemplaat van de sensor (die naar het plafond is gericht) is een pijl in reliëf aangebracht om de kijkrichting van de sensor aan te geven.

Installation methodInstallatiemethode
Gebruik bij voorkeur de magnetische plaatsing. Zo kun je de positie gemakkelijk wijzigen als dat nodig is.
If magnetic placement is not possible: it’s possible to tape or screw a sensor in the ceiling.
Bags (containing screws and other install material) come with the devices (see chapter “Unboxing - content”)
Exchange the Bottom plate (with magnets) for the reserve bottom plate that come with the devices, for easy installation without the magnets

(in case of installation when it’s dark outside) Leave the light on in the rooms where VergeSense sensors are installed, so that commissioning is not hindered by the darkness.
Commissioning
As soon as the installation is done, inform your Spacewell Implementation Consultant when all sensors are installed. Inbedrijfstelling

Concerning headcount on workplaces, only in this stage, VergeSense creates "workstation" areas.

After sensor configuration, follow the Quality Assurance Occupancy/Utilization Sensor instructions to make sure all use cases are covered.
