A new Workplace Management environment is created by the Customer Support department. The initial configuration of the environment is done by the implementation consultant(s). When first logging in to the new environment, the 'Initialization wizard' can be used to configure basic elements for Workplace Management.

Only two buttons are available when first logging in to Workplace Management. The ‘Information' button links to the knowledge base. The 'Initialization wizard’ button is used to start the initial configuration process.
Initialization wizard
Step 1
When clicking on the ‘Initialization wizard' button, the process of configuring the Workplace Management environment is started. Beneath the header ‘WHAT TO DO’, a brief explanation is shown for the consultant on “what to do” during this first step.

In the first step of the process, the consultant needs to add an administrator user for all implementation consultants involved in the customers implementation. By default an administrator is created for the Customer Support department.
Via the 'Settings to be determined' the consultant setting up the enviroment needs to enter his or her email address and selects the default language of the customer. The email address entered here is used to send the login credentials of all administrator users added. These login credentials can be used to set the administrator as partner users.
Click 'Start' once all applicable administrator users are added and the setting to be determined are filled in.
Step 2
In the next step of the initialization wizard, a checklist and remarks field become visible to register the progress of the environments initial configuration. These fields are optional to use.
On the right side additonal settings to be determined are shown:
Email logo: the default logo added to emails send from Workplace Management, can be changed to a customer logo
Corporate identity: determines the look and feel of the Workplace Management environment (colors/logo). More information can be found via Corporate identity
General announcement: a default announcement is generated, which is shown to users logging into Workplace Management, can be changed to a customer specific text and picture.

In the include 'Admin accounts' the administrator users generated for this environment are shown. For each of the administrators an email with login credentials is send to the initial consultant configuring the environment. These emails can be used to set up the administrators as partner users (see: Managing users ).

After additional administrator users are generated, it will be no longer possible to log in with the initial user provided by Customer Support to set up the environment. This initial user will become the 'System administrator' used for other technical purposes. |
In the include 'Relevant data imports ….' several imports become available to add relevant master data. The own organization/departments, own employees and supplier imports become available by default.

As soon as the initial configuration is done and all relevant steps are done, the initialization wizard can be closed via the 'Close' button. The initialization wizard can also be saved and picked up at a later moment. An overview with the not handled initialization wizard is shown on the startboard.

After the initialization wizard is at least started, any relevant module can be activated via the module activation's: Module activationsEen nieuwe Workplace Management omgeving wordt gecreëerd door de afdeling Customer Support. Er zijn slechts twee knoppen beschikbaar wanneer u voor het eerst inlogt op Workplace Management. De knop 'Informatie' verwijst naar de kennisbank. De knop 'Wizard initialisatie' wordt gebruikt om het eerste configuratieproces te starten.
Wizard initialisatie
Stap 1
Door op de knop 'Wizard initialisatie' te klikken, wordt het proces voor het configureren van de Workplace Management omgeving gestart. Onder de kop 'WAT TE DOEN' wordt een korte uitleg getoond voor de consultant over "wat te doen" tijdens deze eerste stap.

In de eerste stap van het proces moet de consultant een administrator gebruiker toevoegen voor alle implementatieconsultants die betrokken zijn bij de implementatie van de klant. Standaard wordt een beheerder aangemaakt voor de afdeling Customer Support.
Via de 'Te bepalen instellingen' moet de consultant die de omgeving instelt zijn of haar e-mailadres invoeren en de standaardtaal van de klant selecteren. Het e-mailadres dat hier wordt ingevoerd, wordt gebruikt om de inloggegevens van alle toegevoegde administratorgebruikers te versturen. Deze inloggegevens kunnen worden gebruikt om de beheerder in te stellen als partnergebruikers.
Klik op 'Start' zodra alle toepasselijke administratorgebruikers zijn toegevoegd en de te bepalen instelling is ingevuld.
Stap 2
In de volgende stap van de initialisatiewizard worden een controlelijst en opmerkingenveld zichtbaar om de voortgang van de initiële configuratie van de omgeving te registreren. Het gebruik van deze velden is optioneel.
Aan de rechterkant worden extra te bepalen instellingen weergegeven:
Email logoHet standaardlogo dat wordt toegevoegd aan e-mails die vanuit Workplace Management worden verzonden, kan worden gewijzigd in een logo van de klant.
Bedrijfsidentiteit: bepaalt de look en feel van de Workplace Management omgeving (kleuren/logo). Meer informatie is te vinden via Bedrijfsidentiteit
Algemene aankondigingEr wordt een standaardmededeling gegenereerd die wordt weergegeven aan gebruikers die inloggen op Workplace Management. Deze kan worden gewijzigd in een klantspecifieke tekst en afbeelding.

In de lijst 'Beheerdersaccounts' worden de gebruikers van de beheerder weergegeven die voor deze omgeving zijn gegenereerd. Voor elke beheerder wordt een e-mail met inloggegevens verzonden naar de initiële consultant die de omgeving configureert. Deze e-mails kunnen worden gebruikt om de beheerders in te stellen als partnergebruikers (zie: Gebruikers beheren ).

Nadat extra beheerdersgebruikers zijn gegenereerd, is het niet langer mogelijk om in te loggen met de initiële gebruiker die door de Klantenondersteuning is verstrekt om de omgeving in te stellen. Deze initiële gebruiker wordt de 'Systeembeheerder' die voor andere technische doeleinden wordt gebruikt. |
In de lijst 'Relevante gegevensimport ....' zijn verschillende imports beschikbaar om relevante master data toe te voegen. De import van de eigen organisatie/afdelingen, eigen medewerkers en leveranciers is standaard beschikbaar.

Zodra de eerste configuratie klaar is en alle relevante stappen zijn uitgevoerd, kan de initialisatiewizard worden afgesloten via de knop 'Sluiten'. De initialisatiewizard kan ook worden opgeslagen en op een later moment worden opgehaald. Een overzicht met de niet afgehandelde initialisatiewizard wordt getoond op het startpaneel.

Nadat ten minste de initialisatiewizard is gestart, kan elke relevante module worden geactiveerd via de moduleactivering: Module-activeringen.
