After reading this article, you’ll be able to:
Log into Workplace using any device you own;
Tell the difference between a Production, Backup, and Test environment.
Where can I login?
Workplace is a cloud based application. You can log into Workplace with any device that has an internet connection like a computer, laptop, tablet and mobile phone. We recommend using Chrome, Safari or Microsoft Edge.
In order to login you need to know your:
login name & password (not applicable when using Single Sign On);
URL (webpage), as each Workplace environment has a client specific login URL. The login URL will look as follows clientreference.axxerion.com/axxerion/signin. For example afs.axxerion.com/axxerion/signin.
Did you know? The language of the login screen is determined by the language of your browser. After logging in, Workplace takes over and the language is determined by your user settings.
Production, backup, and test environment
With your login you can access three different environments: Production, Backup, and Test. Together we call these tree environments a server cluster. Technically speaking even more environments exist on a cluster, but this will not be discussed in this section. You can log in to these environments via separate URL’s.
The login name and password you have for the Production environment can also be used to log in to Backup and Test.
Environment name | Description | Login URL convention | Example |
---|---|---|---|
Production | Live environment in which you will do your work. | ||
Backup | Short term testing environment. Data is refreshed every night. Changes do not affect the production environment. | ||
Test | Longterm testing environment. Data is refreshed every 6-8 weeks. Changes do not affect the production environment. |
1 These URL’s assume the environment is on server cluster 01. For an environments on cluster 05, the URL for backup and test would be respectively axbk05.axxerion.com/axxerion/signin/ and axts05.axxerion.com/axxerion/signin/.
When logging into the backup or test environment an additional field ‘Client’ is visible on the login screen. You can leave this empty.
If you user name is not unique on the server cluster you won’t be able to login. When this happens you can fill in the clientreference (see table above) in the ‘Client’ field
On what server cluster is my environment?
To be able to navigate to your Back-up or Test environment you’ll need to know on what server cluster you need to log in. There are two ways to determine on what server cluster you are.
Navigate to the Workplace login screen > behind the text ‘main’ there is a number. This is the number of the server cluster. For example ‘main10' refers to server cluster 10.
Request the cluster info via the URL. To do this: navigate to your login URL, for example training.axxerion.com/axxerion/signin> take of the ‘signin’ and add ‘__serverinfo__' (2x underscore before and 2x underscore after) > your URL will look something like this: training.axxerion.com/axxerion/__serverinfo__ > now press 'enter’
