Deploy sensors

Sensoren inzetten in PointGrab™

Manually Import Commissioning Data
Note

Make sure to cross-check the serial number written on the back of the PointGrab sensor.

  • Use the search and paging options to find the device.

  • Click the “Link Device” symbol/button on the right hand side. The Link dialog is displayed.

    • In the Serial Number field, enter the serial number written on the ethernet port on the back of the PointGrab sensor. Serial numbers should be inserted using the following format: xxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxxxx-xxxx. Almost all sensors linked to Spacewell start with identifier

    Define areas

    Ruimtes definiëren in PointGrab™ Platform

    Following the steps described in the Volg de stappen die worden beschreven in de /wiki/spaces/KB/pages/492295, define the areas where the sensors will measure headcounts (eg. different workplaces to be covered by 1 Pointgrab sensor)

    Don’t forget: all of these areas need to be within the Detection Area (check PointGrab installation for more information on Detection Area linked to Installation Height)

    Note

    Even if the Detection Area might be large enough to cover more than 10 work places, PointGrab™ has a limit to max 10 areas per device, so if you create more in PointGrab™ Platform, the device will appear offline.

    Finetune PointGrab™ Platform

    Finetune the location of the area and the sensor device by comparing the live view and the on site situation.

    Deploy sensors in your Workplace tenant 

    Prerequisites

    Deploying sensors in Workplace can only be done by Spacewell.

    For Spacewell external users: please contact your Implementation Consultant and indicate your tenant and the relevant PointGrab Management Platform area names that need to be mapped in Studio.

    For Spacewell Implementation Consultants:

  • using your multi-tenant account (see /wiki/spaces/KB/pages/491811), you can create/modify areas in Studio. The drop down list starts at PointGrab Management Platform site level.

    • make sure your customer is added to

    Note

    Zelfs als de detectieruimte groot genoeg is om meer dan 10 werkplekken te dekken, PointGrab™ heeft een limiet van maximaal 10 ruimtes per apparaatZodat als u meer aanmaakt in het PointGrab™ Platform, het apparaat offline zal verschijnen.

    PointGrab™ platform verfijnen

    Verfijn de locatie van de ruimte en het sensorapparaat door de live weergave te vergelijken met de situatie ter plaatse.

    Sensoren implementeren in uw Workplace tenant

    Het inzetten van sensoren in Workplace is alleen mogelijk na een zeer specifieke configuratie van de klant in het Pointgrab platform:

    Spacewell Implementatie Adviseurs moeten

    Only after the next data package is send, data for this sensor will be visible in your tenant. (This means that depending on time of provisioning to your tenant and activity at the customer site, this can take a while.)

    2. Select the location, where you can manually add a Pointgrab area via "Add New Device"

    4. Selecteer "PointGrab" in Device Type

      this will automatically select the relevant channels for

      apparaat

      2. if you want to disable one or more of these channels (when for example in your project, the PointGrab devices will only be used for Headcount), you can click on the "Advanced" button and scroll down to modify Advanced Sensor Details. Only do this after approval of your Spacewell Consultant.

      Select the detection area (that has been set up in PointGrab Management Platform beforehand) from the Device ID drop down list

      1. If there is no drop down list (and you could just type something in the Device ID field), then troubleshoot the set up, see Als u een of meer van deze kanalen wilt uitschakelen (als bijvoorbeeld in uw project de PointGrab-apparaten alleen worden gebruikt voor Headcount), kunt u klikken op de knop "Geavanceerd" en naar beneden scrollen om de Geavanceerde sensordetails te wijzigen.       1. Als er geen vervolgkeuzelijst is (en u kunt gewoon iets typen in het veld Apparaat-ID), zoek dan problemen bij het instellen, zie https://spacewell.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/KB/pages/492295/PointGrab+Platform+SW+internal#Add-a-Customer)

    6. Give a meaningful name: include device name, tenant name (eg Geef een zinvol naam: bevat apparaatnaam, huurdersnaam (bijv. tenant_floor number_area)

      1.  Make sure device ID + location are referenced everywhere, so that in Studio you can use the simple search function 

    7. Select a Location from the location tree if this is already known (automatically filled in if location was selected before adding new device).

    Remember that sometimes

    • multiple sensors are used to cover 1 count area

    • 1 sensor is used to cover multiple count areas

    For more detailed explanation: see below

    Multiple sensors to cover 1 count area (for example: meeting room too large, needs 2 or more sensors)

    1. In Pointgrab, multiple sensors might need to be installed to track 1 location (eg if the detection area does not cover the whole room)

    2. With overlapping detection areas, these devices will be stitched together in the platform, to make sure that the combined detection areas of the multiple sensors match the required count area

    Meerdere sensoren voor 1 telgebied (bijvoorbeeld: vergaderzaal te groot, heeft 2 of meer sensoren nodig)

    1. In Pointgrab moeten mogelijk meerdere sensoren worden geïnstalleerd om 1 locatie te volgen (bijv. als het detectiegebied niet de hele kamer beslaat).

    2. Met overlappende detectiegebieden worden deze apparaten in het platform aan elkaar gekoppeld om ervoor te zorgen dat de gecombineerde detectiegebieden van de meerdere sensoren overeenkomen met het vereiste telgebied.

    3. In Studio, select the Pointgrab Area to match the Spacewell location4. In Spacewell Utilization view, the sum of the people detection count of all the sensors in the area will be presented for the locationSelecteer in Studio de Pointgrab Ruimte die overeenkomt met de locatie van de ruimte.
