This update brings a series of improvements to user management in Spacewell Workplace, focusing on user experience, clarity, and preventing potential issues.

‪Removal Warning for System Groups

A warning message now appears when attempting to remove all system groups from an active user. This prevents accidental lockout and ensures users retain necessary system access.

Optimized User Settings

The user settings tab has undergone a refresh. Irrelevant or outdated settings have been removed, replaced with helpful hover-over text and improved field labels for a more intuitive user experience.

Clearer Terminology

The field defining user permissions has been renamed from "User type" to "User licenses." This more accurate term reflects the functionality it controls.

Accounts used for providing support are now protected, replacing the previous situation where other users (or the customer himself) could revoke access and repurpose the user in the pool of customer users, rendering support services impossible

Previous Approach

In the past, dedicated accounts for support and implementation personnel from Spacewell & partners could be altered by the customer. This exposed potential security risks and allowed customers to revoke access, hindering support delivery.

 

Improved Approach & Benefits

  • Protected Support User Accounts: Spacewell & partners will now use support accounts which cannot be changed anymore by other users
    Enhanced Security: This protection minimizes the risk of unauthorized access to the customer's core user pool and strengthens overall system security.

  • Uninterrupted Support: Protected support accounts ensure Spacewell & partners maintain consistent access to provide timely and efficient implementation and support.
